Excellent, the metal surfaces retain 98% of their factory salt blue that properly shows strong purple under light. Vivid micro striations from polishing at the factory and the white enamel fill in the thumb safety marking confirm the original finish. Minor surface marks, typical of wartime production, are present on the thumb safety flat, and the slight deduction to overall condition is attributed to hints of edge wear with no rust or pitting observed. The markings are correct, well-struck and unbuffed. As noted above, the numbers are matching, to include the grooved firing pin and interior of both grips, and no importer mark was found. The grip panels rate as very fine, each having only light wear to the checkering and both remaining free of cracks, chips or repairs.
