Here is a good Mannlicher-Schoenauer carbine in .30-06. This is the Model NO, built for the European market. The barrel is 20" with excellent bore. There is a hooded, ramped front sight, while the rear sight consists of one folding and one standing leaf. A Nickel Marburg 4x scope has been mounted. There is a tang safety as well as a wing-type safety. The double-set triggers function as they should. The action is unbelievably smooth, as with all vintage Mannlicher rifles. The stock has a variety of scratches and dings from decades of hunting. There is a chip at the toe (see photo), but there are no cracks. The weight (with the scope) is 8 lbs 6 oz. A classic European hunting rifle.
